Try the SPMC first. Since it is on the AppStore, you'll get regular updates. Don't even have to root the box. If that doesn't work out, you can always try the official XBMC build. But personally on my Android Stick, SPMc had horrible, jarring audion sync issues. XBMC has been serving me very well.
